BLOCK SIX NORTH

This site contains the Boiler House (Building 10), the Research Lab (Building 14), the Paint Shop (Building 15), the iconic Grain Silos (Building 16) and approximately 32,000 square feet of land.  Block Six North is also the site of Zilber Park, an uniquely designed 10,000 square foot pocket park.  This green space was designed by the international award winning D.I.R.T. Studios.  Zilber Park is complete with grass, trees, benches, reclaimed cobblestone walkways and an elegant seasonal gabion ice wall.

The Boiler House (Building 10) has been sold and has been converted into office space.  New tenants of the Boiler House,  Albion Group Architects, AMB Development Group, Inland Companies and The Planning Council for Health and Human Services, Inc., are occupying their new office space.  The Research Lab (Building 14)and the Paint Shop (Building 15) have also been sold.  The entire Research Lab (Building 14) has been leased by Cardinal Stritch University and they moved portions of their School of Education and Leadership into this building.  Cardinal Stritch will utilize this facility for additional programs and evening classes.  Initial occupancy began in May 2009.   The Paint Shop (Building 15) will be converted into office space.

The Grain Silos (Building 16) has approximately 12,700 square feet of roof top space that could be transformed into a regional destination restaurant.  These buildings are immediately adjacent to 76 stall surface parking lot.  Located within one block of Block Six North is an 880 stall parking structure with 8,000 square feet of ground floor retail which opened for business in December 2009.

BLOCK SIX SOUTH

This site is composed of  the Brew House (Building 20), the Mill House (Building 21) and approximately 28,000 square feet of land.  The Brew House (Building 20) and the Mill House (Building 21) represent two of the most dramatic spaces in all of downtown Milwaukee.

The Brew House (Building 20) is a four-story, Cream City brick building that has a spectacular three-story atrium, stained glass window and six copper brew kettles complete with stainless steel flues.  The ground floor space has a series of arched openings and is immediately adjacent to Zilber Park, an uniquely designed 10,000 square foot pocket park.  This park is complete with grass, trees, benches, reclaimed cobblestone walkways and an elegant seasonal gabion ice wall.  This building is immediately adjacent to a 76 stall surface parking lot and it's across North 10th Street from an 880 stall parking structure with 8,000 square feet of ground floor retail space.  This parking structure opened for business in December 2009.   The Brew House (Building 20) is currently under contract.  This building and the Mill House (Building 21) will be redeveloped as a mixed-use space.  Tentative plans include residential apartments with ground floor retail space.

The Mill House (Building 21) is another example of a Cream City brick exterior structure that is matched with dramatic interior spaces.  Some of the building’s interior has 30 foot floor to ceiling conditions complete with brick vaulted ceilings.  It is located on the northwest corner of North 10th Street and West Juneau Avenue.  It is across from an
880 stall parking structure with 8,000 square feet of ground floor retail space which is now open.  The Mill House (Building 21) is currently under contract.  This building and the Brew House (Building 20) will be redeveloped as a mixed-use space.  Tentative plans include residential apartments with ground floor retail space.
